Together, WE are the Next Generation & Community dedicated to advancing Ocular Melanoma Awareness, empowering patients, caregivers, and advocates, promoting early detection through routine and dilated eye exams, and fostering inclusive collaboration among partners united in our mission.
While our ultimate vision is to end this rare eye cancer through research, improved treatments, and a cure - we recognize that the journey begins with meaningful, measurable action:

Promoting universal awareness of Ocular Melanoma, recognizable risk factors, and the life-saving importance of early detection.

Empowering patients, caregivers, and advocates to find their voice, use their talents, and support one another in awareness, advocacy, and collaboration.

Developing Awareness Partners to help educate the public about Ocular Melanoma, risk factors, and the critical role of early detection.

Collaborating with eye care professionals - clinics, optometrists, and ophthalmologists - to provide free or discounted dilated eye exams and proactive eye health education.

Informing patients about treatment options, clinical trials, and current research focused on improving outcomes and quality of life.

The Ocular Melanoma Society is a Next Generation Non-Profit Organization with a clear goal: to inform, educate, and encourage people to understand and embrace awareness of this rare eye cancer - before the statistics begin to grow.
Being a Next Generation organization means we are results-driven and committed to growth through community, not dollar signs. We encourage, empower, and embrace every patient, caregiver, advocate, and supporter who joins this mission. Every contribution matters - whether it’s an idea, a story, or an act of advocacy. No voice is excluded, dismissed, or overlooked. Our mission is to provide the tools and resources that allow every patient, caregiver, and advocate to create their own message, platform, or initiative to expand ocular melanoma awareness.
We also believe Next Generation means redefining what a nonprofit should be - transparent, inclusive, and impact-focused. Donors and partners can count on knowing exactly how their support is utilized, with funds directly advancing ocular melanoma research, awareness, advocacy, and patient support. Our work is prioritized by the impact we can make within communities across the country through patient, caregiver, advocate, and partner engagement.
